Trip around Slovakia in 10 days
What you will experience
A small country right in the heart of Europe. It hides a myriad of natural beauties and traditions. High mountains, wide fields, picturesque corners, and open-minded people offering travelers bread and salt as the most valuable treasures that have emerged from this land. Despite being a relatively young state, it became independent after the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993 and it boasts a rich heritage of historical and cultural monuments that you must visit. Welcome to Slovakia.
A unique opportunity to experience true Slovakia and see the best it offers. We will experience the authentic atmosphere of a typical Slovak village, we will visit many ancient monuments, castles and chateaux offering historical architecture. We will taste traditional Slovak dishes and drinks (you must have heard of sheep-cheese dumplings, but do you know what Kofola is?) And we will be walking through alluring nature. We won´t skip shopping or original handmade souvenir purchase. Every day a different city or place full of unusual experiences will surprise us.

Get carried away for ten days
Košice and Tokaj
Košice – the second largest city in Slovakia that will enchant you with its energy, majestic architecture and multiculturalism. We will visit the most famous sights and attractions of this fascinating city. St. Elisabeth Co-Cathedral – the largest Slovak cathedral with a manual ringing, which is a candidate for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. We will head to the Tokay wine region, where you can enjoy a viewing tower and local wine tasting experience in the genuine wine cellar. The spectacular nature of Eastern Slovakia will surely touch your heart.
Cave Zlá diera, Spiš castle and Levoča
Become a real caver for a while. The bad hole shows us the beauty of the underground. We will have lunch in a traditional Slovak restaurant and taste typical Slovak specialties – gnocchi, pierogi or loksha. We will also visit the Sivá Brada National Nature Reserve, a mineral spring that forms a small lake at the top. There is also a gem of this region waiting for us – the Spiš Castle, where many world-famous films were shot and the small town of Levoča included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, where the unique wooden altar of Master Paul from the early 16th century is located.
Popradské pleso and Štrbské pleso
We will visit the fourth largest Slovak lake hidden in the nature of the Tatra peaks – Popradské pleso – photo-shooting spot as if made for a number of likes on social networks. Lunch with an unforgettable view will offer a gourmet experience for foodies. At the end of the day we will be captivated by the magical nature of Štrbské pleso, which offers one of the most picturesque views of the Tatras and we will enjoy well-earned wellness. In the evening, however, the blood starts to wake us up again and the evening program will entertain us.
Orava castle and Rajecké Teplice
Orava Castle is built on the rock as an eagle nest. Its size and monumentality make it one of the most important monuments in Slovakia. We will see a historical exhibition, which is part of a system of medieval and Renaissance castle buildings. The Chapel of St. Michael and the Treasury of Orava Castle are still hiding secrets that will only be revealed to people of good will.
Traditional Slovak specialties await us after the tour. Taste the sheep-cheese dumplings or homemade pierogi. Slovakia is a country of mineral springs, so at the end of the day we will relax in Rajecké Teplice, which offers a unique tasting of natural mineral waters as well as relaxation. We can set on a journey to search for the source of eternal youth and toast “to good health”
Čičmany, Bojnice, Banská Štiavnica
We will experience the atmosphere of a true Slovak village. The ancient and unique architecture of painted log houses is popular with tourists from all over the world and inspires world artists, designers and architects. We will visit Čičmany. The colours and shapes of this place inspired some time ago the fashion house Gucci, who photographed his collection there. Our journey will continue to Bojnice, which houses one of the most magnificient and romantic castles, as well as Renaissance and Baroque houses at the square. Banská Štiavnica is known for its metal mining, but mainly thanks to the inimitable historical atmosphere of narrow streets and town houses. Did you know that it is included into the UNESCO´s World Heritage List or that gunpowder was used there for the first time in the world for non-military purposes?
The charming Mining Town will offer us its nooks and crannies while exploring the most significant attractions. Did you know that the photographer of legendary Beatles band lived and worked there?
We will also visit cafes that rank among the best in Slovakia with the quality of services and unique design. We will also be able to see the life of the former miners and visit the museum.
The capital of the Slovak Republic and also the largest city in Slovakia by its population and size will meet all your expectations. Whether you are an architecture lover or you prefer bustling city with everything that comes with it. Bratislava – beauty on the Danube. It is even said that it was Bratislava where Johann Strauss composed the first bars of the world-famous waltz “The Blue Danube”. Fall in love with it, too.
We will spend a day full of luxury and relaxation in the beautiful Galicia Nueva Castle. Words are useless, just let yourself get carried away.
