The fact, that Slovakia is a landscape rich in spa places, is generally known. With the formation of spa places, various natural mineral springs are naturally linked, as the finding of the mineral springs preceded spa creation.

An attractive example is the youngest Slovak spa resort called Nimnice. In 1953, while building of the barrier was in progress, aggressive water started to interfere the concrete. Later, after a closer research, it turned out that the water is rich to CO2. It has been for the first time this kind of water appeared in Slovakia, and it immediately gave an impulse for creating a new spa resort.
For free from the nature…
The charm of natural mineral springs is also the fact that they are free from nature. There is no marketing, no strategy in order to attract people to healthy water. Baldovce
Baldovce are located in Levoča. These days, some people may call it forgotten, but in the past, during Hungarian monarchy era, this place was very popular. There are unique healing springs, that are also connected to a legend. In the Cholera period, in 1831, there wasn’t a single person infected with disease, thanks to the water and its attributes. Mineral spring from Baldovce has sourly – refreshing taste.
Brusnianka
The village of Brusno is located in the middle of Slovakia, specifically in the district of Banska Bystrica. The spa has been accessible to the public since the 19th century, and offers a wide range of medical springs. Brusnianka water is effective in dealing with distaste of food,
and while the bottle is being filled, you can enjoy the nature and its beauty.
Cigeľka
The Cigeľka village is located in Eastern Slovakia, close to the well-known spa city Bardejov. The water contains many health beneficial ingredients and is efficient in healing digestion problems. In the village there is a water with high source of salt but also a few sour mineral springs. Interesting fact is that the water has been exported to Australia since 2006.
